Gypsum Association Issues Clarification on Steel Thickness for Abuse Resistant Board

The Gypsum Association (GA) has issued a clarification that the design thickness for steel supporting abuse resistant board in their rated assemblies needs to be 0.0312 inches. But, since most contractors work in minimum thickness, this really means 30 mil material, which has a minimum delivered thickness of 0.0296 inches.
