Management Team

Founder and President

A former Association of Steel Distributors (ASD) President and “Steel Man of the Year”, Ray has been involved in the steel industry since 1963. He founded Super Stud in 1973, and today the company manufactures a comprehensive range of steel framing components and accessories for commercial, institutional and residential construction applications. Ray has built Super Stud into a recognized industry leader in product innovation and “Customer First” service. He was an original member of the American Iron and Steel Institute’s (AISI) Residential Advisory Group (RAG) and the Steel Framing Alliance (SFA). Ray is actively involved with several national and regional industry organizations, and frequently presents at their annual meetings and trade shows.

Vice President, COO

Ron joined Super Stud in 1990 and is the Chief Operating Officer. He has been a sales executive in the construction industry for more than 35 years, having worked in both manufacturing and distribution. He has served on the National Board of the Association of Steel Distributors since 2000, and is presently Vice President for the Eastern Region of the organization. Ron is well respected within both the steel framing and distribution industries, and together with Ray has been an integral part of growing Super Stud’s business over the past 20 years.

Chief Financial Officer

Bill joined Super Stud as Chief Financial Officer in 2007. He started his career as an auditor with Ernst & Young, followed by 22 years with Best Foods and Unilever in various financial management positions in both the U.S. and Europe. Bill subsequently worked with Masco Corporation as a divisional CFO for their Contractor Services group. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJSCPA). Bill has been a licensed CPA since 1979 and received an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business.

Vice President, Marketing & Business Development

After having known Ray Frobosilo for more than 20 years, Curt joined Super Stud’s management team in 2009. He works with each of Super Stud’s affiliated group of companies to coordinate strategic development and growth. Curt has been involved in the steel industry for more than 30 years, starting two of his own companies in that time, as well as holding senior management positions with three publicly traded companies. He has been part of the American Iron and Steel Institute’s (AISI) Committee on Framing Standards (COFS) and its predecessor, the Residential Advisory Group (RAG) since the early 1990s, and is also a voting member of several Association of Walls and Ceilings Industries (AWCI) and American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) committees.

General Manager, Safe Guard Building Systems, LLC

Andrew became a licensed general contractor in Mississippi and Louisiana in 1977. Since that time, he has been involved in the homebuilding industry and has even managed a large-scale affordable housing project in Indonesia. Andrew first got involved in the manufacturing side of the construction components business in 2000. He is a certified General Real-Estate Appraiser in the state of Louisiana, and is a member of the Mississippi Sub-Contractors Association and the Mississippi Coast Building Officials Association (MCBOA).

General Manager, Galaxy Metal Products

Rich brings more than 40 years in the manufacturing industry to his role as General Manager of Galaxy Metal Products. His diverse background in manufacturing encompasses all aspects of operations, planning and design, sales and marketing, and distribution. With Galaxy, Rich oversees the implementation of the day-to-day strategic operations on the manufacturing floor. He also manages upcoming and ongoing commercial projects involving Galaxy products, as well as developing construction opportunities.

General Manager, energex® Systems

Ed has been involved in the coatings industry for more than 25 years. Prior to his role as General Manager of energex®, he worked in the company’s sales division and then oversaw management of the plant. His well-rounded experience has helped energex® become a leader in the EIFS industry.
