Drywall Framing Systems

Mechanical Properties, Base Steel

All Drywall steel studs, track and furring components manufactured by Super Stud conform to the requirements of ASTM C645,  Additionally, these members are manufactured from steel meeting the minimum ductility requirements of the AISI Specifications for the Design of Cold Formed Steel Structural Members.  Steel ductility is critical to its formability during the rolling or braking process.  Ductility also affects the performance of the cutting tips of screws fasteners used to connect steel framing.

Drywall steel studs, track and furring components are formed from steel possessing minimum yield strength of 33,000 PSI (33 KSI).

1-1/2” Hat Channel, formed from18 and 16 gage steel, are formed from steel meeting the requirements of ASTM A466, Grade A, possessing a minimum yield strength of 33,ooo PSI (33 KSI)
