Position Summary

We are seeking an intelligent, highly motivated, positive, results-oriented individual to grow our IT Department team in Edison, NJ as the IT Department Manager. Primary Responsibilities

The role will report to the site Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The role encompasses managing and driving process improvement, safety, quality, productivity, and employee development. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead and manage project teams promoting a positive work environment focused on achieving business goals.
  • Ensure network components meet needs and work together seamlessly, using the full range of capabilities, and stay informed about new features and competitive solutions
  • Continuously analyze current process, technologies, and vendors to identify areas of improvement
  • Train employees on both software and hardware, troubleshoot, and provide technical support when needed
  • Develop and execute disaster procedures, and maintain data backups
Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in technology or computer science
  • 5+ years of progressive IT management experience (Manufacturing preferred)
  • Experience with or knowledge of programming languages and operating systems (AS400, SQL, MS Exchange, Active Directory, and other Windows-based systems)
  • Current equipment and technologies
  • Enterprise backup and recovery procedures, and system performance monitoring

Job Function
  • Draw and detail shop drawings for products and submit for approval to customers.
  • Create bill of materials for customer order to release into fabrication.
  • Work with customers to assist them with the correct designs for their needs.
  • Print and read architectural drawings to prepare shop drawings.
  • Prepare product and project schedules for projects.
  • Assist in customer service when needed.
Project Management:
  • Coordinate exact material requirements from which shop drawings were created.
  • Once all approvals of shop drawings are given, coordinate with manufacturing and customer for delivery.
  • Field phone calls from customers as needed.
  • Review all assigned orders for accuracy.
  • Print and read architectural drawings in determining what is required on a job for a quote.
  • Perform take-offs for contract jobs.
  • Send out appropriate take-offs to vendors for pricing.
  • Review and approve all pricing on contract jobs before sending to the customer for a quote.
  • Meet with customers either in their office and/or the field as necessary.
  • Support the technical phones calls from customers and provide accurate responses and answers.
Qualifications
  • Engineering Degree, preferred
  • Experience in interior construction building products, preferred.
  • Motivated, coachable, and able to follow instructions and procedures.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with people from all levels and departments.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.
